Window box ideas 2017

This is a post from a few years ago, but it was so spring-like this weekend, that it has me dreaming about my window boxes again.

One of the things I have loved about living in North Carolina is that I can rely on a beautiful spring. The original post was about how we were having snow in April. I hope that doesn't happen this year, but in the 30+ years I've lived here, I know that there's one thing I can count on....you never know what the weather will hold.

Last year, I added two more window boxes to the front of the house where we took out more half-dead boxwood. (Boxwood is awesome, ya'll, until it gets old and holey.) I am planning to make them lush and gorgeous this year with some interesting choices. Not quite sure what those choices will be, but they will be interesting!

C'mon, Spring!!

Hi Kirby,
I love a full and flowing flower box with greens mixed with flowers. Love when they cascade down out of the box. You have some beautiful inspiration. Have a wonderful V Day.
Hugs,
Kris

I love window boxes and have always wanted them on our front windows.

When oldest daughter got married in the back yard I had the local nursery plant all my window boxes. They looked very similar to the last photo. BEAUTIFUL for the ceremony and all summer long. My only mistake was not asking for a price to have them do it. Let's just say I took very good care of them that summer.
