A love letter to my no reply bloggers

Because it's the polite thing to do!

   Y'all....y'all have been so wonderful to me! I have had so many folks visit and so many nice folks comment!! But I have a question....

Is it the thing now to be a "no-reply blogger"? And if I reply to a no-reply blogger accidentally, where does my reply go? And SHOULD I reply to a no-reply blogger somehow? Or are they no-reply because they really don't want me to reply? Should I go back into my thread in reply there? And will they see it?

I'm just not sure how this works.

So all you folks who have commented on my blog but are no-reply bloggers, Thank You from the bottom of my pea-pickin' little heart. Your comments mean more that you will ever know.

LOL, I bet I have sent dozens of replies to people before I figured out they were no-reply. Where do they go????

I think I only replied to no-reply bloggers for like a year before I realized the comments were going to the great unknown-whoops!(I thought the email address was just being "hidden" from me-perfect sense, right?) It made me sad (as apparently I thought I had great things to say) ;)

LOL Kirby. I always wonder that too since they never come back as undeliverable. They must go to a no reply blogger box in the cloud!!!!! It is so easy to change from a no reply and I did a little tutorial on it a year or so ago on my blog for peeps to change it if they wanted too. I hate when they leave nice comments or ask a question and then they are no reply!!!!
Have a great weekend. Stay warm.
xoxo

I always assumed you could reply to any reader via email or by visiting their blog and leaving comments.

I have the same questions!!! Do they choose to not be bothered with more emails, or, like I was, have no idea they are no reply comment bloggers? It is such an easy fix!

I've been told I'm a no reply blogger, but I have tried various steps at various times to undo what Blogger and Google seem to have the secret code to. I believe the various remedies that may have applied at one point in the timeline of Blogger and Google may not currently work, but I'm not even certain of that. Nonetheless, I also appreciate those who still try to respond and help. Since last Sept or Oct, Google has also stopped providing notifications of comments to those of us on Blogger, and the chance of missing visitors' comments are very high. {sigh}

I'm a non-blogger, but I sure am a reader. I chose my bloggers because we have things in common, or they take me outside my usual box. I love all of you bloggers and how much time is put into publishing each day. I hope I'm not a non-reply, but frankly I have no idea. Please don't stop!

It could also be because they are not aware they are a no-reply blogger. Sometimes, for whatever reason, the settings get switched without your knowledge and you have to go into google settings and switch it back from your google profile. It's happened to me a few times and it's so frustrating. If I'm one of those no-reply bloggers, let me know. Apparently, you can test if you're a no-reply blogger by making a comment on your own blog and then check your email to see if you received the comment. If the email address is noreply-comment@blogger.com, then you're a no-reply blogger.
