A Tablescape Tuesday for Pat

A few days ago, the blogging community received word that our friend Pat of Back Porch Musings had passed away after experiencing many health complications.

Pat was a lovely and gracious lady who had a real eye for putting stuff together. We used to joke about having "old lady" taste (ie a more traditional style), but she was well-known and her style was well-received by so many of us. (She could also have been a brand ambassador for Chico's, but that's another story for another day.)

So in the midst of moving the kitchen/sunroom around (which will take another week to finish, I am sure. We are incorporating an old tobacco cart because DL insists and oh., lawd.) I decided to put together a little place setting for Pat.

Green plate from Kohl's about 10 years ago, light brown napkin from a yard sale, Dollar Tree acorns and a white pear from HomeGoods (yesterday--$3.95).

Same setting with a "galvanized" pumpkin, which I will be giving a tutorial on, later this week.

Wherever you are Pat, I know you have a limitless room full of stuff with which to create a few celestial tablescapes.

Oh no, Kirby! I am so saddened by this news of Pat's death. I knew she was sick, and contacted a few blogging friends who I thought may have her address to send her a card in late July. She has been on my mind so much since then. What a blow. And what a nice tribute. Thank you.

Oh, I did not know that Pat had passed away :( . Thanks for sharing that sad news with us. Love your cute table setting in her memory. I look forward to seeing how to galvanize a pumpkin in a future blog post of yours.
