The week of magical eating

Over the holidays, I decided to throw caution (and good sense) to the wind and, instead of eating from the food pyramid, go back to the basic four.

The basic four being turkey, carbs, sugar and wine.

Unfortunately, I have been paying for it ever since.

All I can say is this:  You never realize how important pooping is until you can't do it any more.

So when Patricia offered her eating plan to a few bloggers to try, I thought "What the heck?  She's Canadian.  You have to trust her.  Canadians are the most trustworthy people on earth. And the most polite.  So even if the diet doesn't work, she won't yell."

And guess what?  I am pooping.  Which may or may not SOUND like a big deal, but when you have a wonky colon like mine, it is.  (I have diverticulosis, which is a pain.  Literally.)

Patricia is at healthybalancedliving.ca if you want to check her out.  I am not following the diet exactly (as I have the wonky colon and some sensitivities), but I will give more updates in the next week or so.

So if I don't have any wonkyness it's ok to see what she is suggesting?

ha! so since we are sharing today..... i just finished whole 30 and have been more normal down there. i skipped on splenda and milk and attributed the changes for the good to cutting splenda out. i had a latte weds (first day after whole30) and have been going more than i would ever like since. OMG. no more milk for me.

Because she is Canadian and obviously not full of $h&t, I will go have a look. You're right about us not yelling....we don't get angry in Canada, just disappointed ;)

Pooping is important. Sometimes it is everything. Especially if you don't. I have that diverticulitis thing too. It's shitty.

You must have the poop, Kirbs. Life is terrible without the poop. Hope this is a good plan for you!

Never know what you are going to get at Kirb Appeal, but I certainly never thought it would be about pooping.

Glad everything is working now!

Glad to know "all monitored systems are functioning properly." I had a car that used to say that to me once in a while and it always made me feel better, even though I knew it was referring to the car and not me.
