If it's Back-to-School time,

Then it must mean clothes!!

First of all, I am not really obsessed with clothes (any more).
It's harder to be obsessed when trendy clothing sizes stop at 6. That being said...

Back to school clothes used to follow along the same lines: a plaid dress.
Not this plaid dress:

But this plaid dress:

For some reason, back-to-school always meant plaid. Even when Beth stopped choosing my clothes for me, I always gravitated back to plaid:

And then I discovered that back-to-school could mean so much more!
My mother, in her attempt to get me to think about the way I looked, procured me a subscription to "Seventeen" magazine. (Which leads me to the whole magazine-addiction thing, but that's another story for another day, Courtney.)

And do you know what I found within the pages of that magazine?

Yep. For those of you who are unsure....this is not the first time I have written about this particular romance. Nor will it be the last, I reckon.

Ah, plaid! I think I spent every September and October of my life living in a plaid skirt, sometimes with knee-high socks and Doc Martens just to be cool:)

Oh dear....I went to my first day of school with a plaid dress, a plaid "satchel" (precursor to backpacks), a plaid lunch box and a plaid thermos. I don't remember if I had plaid underwear...LOL!

I don't remember all that much plaid. But I swear my sister had that same plaid dress you are wearing in that picture. Enjoy the year.

I was all about Levis and Dexter Kapezio... oh, and Famolares which I should have saved because they're selling them on eBay for much more than I ever paid for them.

Back to school.....I just hated those damn commercials when I was a kid. That's what I remember most about going back.....not so much the clothes though. I guess that explains my keen sense of style, or lack of it...lol

I still love plaid, all the time. Could be the connection to first day of school that caused it.
