What I Found Appealing

Let’s just say I REALLY NEED a space to work on projects.  And it NEEDS climate control.  So it cannot be the garden house (which DL has taken over) and THERE’S A BIG HONKIN’ POOL TABLE IN THE BASEMENT THAT DL INSISTS WE KEEP, so there’s no room down there.

Which kind of, sort of leaves the loft room, which has no climate control, which makes it appropriate for use approximately 6 weeks out of the year.

I had to take my sewing machine out of there and put it in the sunroom because I was afraid that it would get ruined, so now we have the sewing machine sort of in the kitchen which is both stupid and inconvenient.

I am at a loss.

But a girl can dream, can’t she?

Both of these are from a blog called heart handmade (uk).  I love to look at the pictures because they are SO English cottage.  I get lots of inspiration!

(And there’s not a pool table in sight.)

Can you just use paper plates and stack your fabric in the kitchen cupboards like they have it? ;)

Oh that is gorgeous, what about mdf or plywood over the pool table and use it when people are not playing pool?

I feel your pain, sista. Going through the same dilemma.

Oh what I would give to have a room like that ( I think Danni's on her way to having one though ! )
They're beautiful !

I say cover the pool table with mdf and work off that. Since no one actually plays pool it won't matter. you will have to have an overhang if you want to sew off of it though. I love the way that room looks, but let's face it, it won't be happening at my house.

I love to look at all the English blogs - all the pretty pastel colors.

I have an uninvited guest for 6 weeks - daughter sublet her duplex to one of the summer interns at her company to save money. I had to move my creative stuff to anywhere I can put it. It looks like I will be doing sewing on the dining room table tomorrow.

I love looking at craft room/sewing room pictures. Sometimes it even inspires me to clean I think Mel has a great point. That would make an awesome cutting table!
