Walkabout Wednesday!

IMG_0930

A few weeks ago, I wrote about looking for a colonial for Kerry, who has a large, active family.  I found several for her, and I hope she moves here.

In an attempt to get other blogging friends to join us (so that I can get together with these gals on a regular basis), I went searching for some little cottages for those of us whose nests are empty. (Danni?  Karen?  Anyone else?)

The house at the top is on one of the prettiest streets in the BV.  It’s right next door to our friends Joy (the sister DL never had, he says) and Amy.  They have impromptu get-togethers in their backyard almost every week when the weather is nice.  So that’s a bonus!

This little house (above) has gone through some well-planned renovations over the last couple of years.  It’s on a little knoll and has some great low-maintenance landscaping.

This house is one of my favorites.  It’s a little larger, but still has that cottage charm.  See that front patio on the left?  Yes, please.

This cute little house is at the end of my block—it’s a great house, and a lot bigger than it appears because it has a wing.  (The top and bottom pictures are of an addition, while the middle faces my road.)

In case you aren’t sure what you do with an empty nest, that will be a future blog post.  I have some hints and tips for newly empty nests or other folks who worry about that sort of thing.

So how about it?  Won’t you be my neighbor?

Yes I will. The first is my favorite. It's me to a tee. Do you think you could find someone to buy my house? I worry too about living in your state. I hear your governor is a little wacky....

Evil blogger just ate my comment. Which was I'd love to be your neighbor. Just need to empty out the nest first!
