Krylon Premium Original Chrome (Little town…it’s a quiet village…)

Some of you know I have booth space at a decorator market.  My success with large pieces is so-so, while the smalls fly out the door.

November 044

So this summer, I went to tons of yard sales looking for smalls, both booth-ready and in need of a facelift.

November 049

At one yard sale, I found a set of little metal buildings. They were pretty in their simplicity, but they were turd brown in color. As much as I’m all for some color in my house, I’m not sure I want one of those colors to be turd brown.

November 047

So I trotted my boo-tay over to Hobby Lobby (I’m there so much that I have given it a nickname—Hobs) and looked in the spray paint aisle.  I discovered Krylon’s Original Chrome.

Two light coats, and they look FABULOUS!
They are ready to go to the booth….but I’m not sure I want to give them up!
Thanks, Krylon!

Loving your smalls (though if I said that to someone over here, they'd ask me why I was talking about their under garments) !

And just in time for Christmas they will fly out unless you do keep them :)

What's wrong with turd brown?
Your silver houses are very cool...I'm surprised you are selling them and not using them in some clever way on your mantel with snow and candlelight. hint hint

I just opened a booth at an antique mall last month, so far the smalls do the best for me, too. But I haven't done many large, a few mediums that I put in did okay and some are still sitting there. Those little houses are really sweet and are just in time for the holidays!
