MMS Milk Paint

I like to try new stuff.

(This is where companies are supposed to be clamoring to send me free stuff so that I can try it.  Beer would be good.)

So I was excited to try Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint.  I bought several samples in a variety of colors--Tricycle, Grain Sack, Ironstone, French Enamel, and Typewriter.  I also purchased the Hemp Oil and the Bonding Agent.

It's funny that while I was using mine, Cassie was using hers and we both loved the results!

This is a cute little table I bought at a friend's yard sale.  It is pine that had been stained a dark brown.
I gave it a wash of MMS Ironstone, then chipped it up a little.  I gave it a light sanding and put a coat of clear wax on top.

LOVE these knobs from the Hobby Lobby!

First, that turned out really nice and I love the knobs. Second, I love the names of those paint colors. I want a job naming paint colors...or nail polish. Third, no wonder I'm intimidated by a furniture project...hemp oil? bonding agent? I was just trying to get up my nerve to use chalk paint and wax.

I'm so curious about MMS milk paint. I know it has to better than the version I created (evaporated milk and food coloring) for my Pre-K class ;) Drippy, wet, mess, but the kids had fun. That was the first and last year we included that activity.

Your table turned out really well. I like that color!

Why aren't people sending you things for free? Maybe now they will when they see how adorable you made that pine table look.

Look at your getting your project on. I need a few more details of how you liked all the product. I only have the paint and really like it.

Very cute table, Kirby! Do you have a space where you sell the things you paint? Did you use the bonding agent or the hemp oil on this piece?
It looks like it has "instant age".

Cute table, and I do love those knobs. I wish we had a hobby lobby here.

Oh man, I wish we had Hobby Lobby in Canada!! Those knobs are so cute - they add so much to the table. Which by the way is gorgeous. I've used MMS on a couple of projects and love the rustic look it gives to everything!!

I found a supplier of MMS milk paint in a town near me. I've bought the bonding agent and the antiquing wax, but have been stalling on the paint. Mainly because I can't make up my mind which colours to get! But I can't wait to try it, hopefully tomorrow...or next week.
I absolutely love how your little table turned out!! It's gorgeous!

Love!

I miss Hobby Lobby! We had them in Tennessee, but not up here in the "aggressive north"... Actual quote said TO me whilst living in TN!

Love the color and the table!
