I *Heart* NY!

I am back from visiting my lovely daughter in New York, where she is finding her own private Idaho Brooklyn.

Meanwhile, I was starring on Broadway!

When I was younger, I was a big singer/dancer/actress (in my high school of 500 students.  Also in my mind).

So you can well imagine the fun I was having (even though it was cold and rainy) wandering the theatre district.

Perusing the offerings and wondering if I should change my name to St. James, just so I could say that I saw my name in lights.

Afterward, we found a great little Irish pub that had cold Guinness and hot Shepherd's pie.  Which was almost as good as winning a Tony Award.

Almost.

**Note:  next week is the March installment of "Tongue-in-cheek Tuesday."  It's about junk.  After 52 years, I have tons and tons of it.  In an attempt to go legit, we will be having a linky party!  Just like the youngsters!  Won't you join us?

  1. Ill havr to do New York vicariously through you, although I did cook Shepard pie for dinner so maybe I knew you'd be posting :P Btw I don't like the implication I'm old even though I'm longing for the linky!

  3. I have never been to NY. Growing up in Chicago took away my desire for the city life. But, I'd go there to see you if you ever star in a show! The pub would have probably been my highlight!! Looking forward to the linky!

  4. I hope you saw a show! I LOVE NY...planning a trip in a couple years....it takes me that long to save the money because I need bribe money for a babysitter......a linky party about junk? I don't have any junk, but can I write about all the one of a kind, sought after, soon to be HIGHLY valuable treasures I have stored in the garage....and the attic.....and the shed....?
