Interesting that the pictures in the first book were by Maurice Sendak! Loved Anne of Green Gables. Have a big time girl!

I think I read Anne of Green Gables. But it's been a long time so I'm not sure.

I was a reading fiend. Trixie Beldon, The Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High....stacks of those oldies were available in my Gramma's verandah and I read them voraciously. I had the entire A of GG series and have given that as gifts to almost every little girl I have bought for over the years. As a kid, I was read to. I read to both the boys hoping to instill in them that same love of books.

Have a wonderful trip lady!!

I admit that I was pretty loyal to the holy trinity consisting of Blume (happy 75th), Cleary and Danziger.

Trixie books were better than candy to me.
I read them so quickly and then begged for the next one.
I named my dog Trixie.
I was Trixie.

Not a reader. But definitely a "watcher" of Anne of Green Gables! I loved that show ... along with Little House on the Prairie (which I read AND watched)!

I read everything I could get my hands on! I plowed through every school library and each time we moved (a lot) it was a new adventure! I am still a reader and it's the thing I miss doing the most now that my life is consumed with kids and furniture!! I squeeze a book in here and there....
