Having thought about all the different ways I could celebrate my 500th post on Kirb Appeal (at this location--xanga has another two hundred or so), I decided that I was going to make this a double-header...linking to the posts I most enjoyed writing, and giving a shout out to a few of the folks with whom I've had some fun.
The post that put me 'on the map,' so to speak, was the one that featured this dresser:
I received so many great comments and got so many great followers from this, like Dharma--who surprisingly lives in the town where I spent my summers with my grandmother. I am glad I got to share my memories of the town with her.
My favorite teaching post was this one from February. Some days it pays to show up.
I wrote a whole series on a book that I found, written by Eliza Duffey in the late 1800s. And she had a whole bunch of information for women. I really loved writing that series, even though only a handful of folks read it. Here's a pretty solid sample about marriage.
Tina at What We Keep once dubbed me "Kirby-Wan" and made me a robe, so that I could be the voice of the middle-aged.
This is what I said.
And of course, there was the whole quitting-blogging-because-I-was-pregnant thing with Bliss, who is always good for a laugh.
I have had a lot of fun (as well as a little angst) writing this blog, and I thank every single person who has ever read it!
