And I came to a conclusion, helped in part by several of my regular readers, one I didn't even know was reading. They both said that they don't read to look at my crappy DIY pictures, but to read my writing. Which was the whole reason I started this blog.
Duh.
So while I'm NOT giving up the DIY entirely, I am going to focus on writing. If you don't want to read because you have a need to look at photographs, you don't have to. There are plenty of blogs out there with great photography. (After all, this IS America!) Meanwhile, you few and stalwart readers will get to read about how people are so quick to assume I am over 55. Or about saying goodbye to summer.
You know...what used to be "the usual" stuff on my blog. Before I drank all that lovely, colorful, heavily-sweetened Kool-Aid. Before I thought that people would like me better if I did what everyone else is doing. (Here's where I'm supposed to sound like my mother and say "If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you jump too?")
That being said...thanks to you who are here to read. I really appreciate it.
And here is my picture for today:

So glad you had your "duh" moment and are back with us again. In all your fun and flavorful glory!
ReplyDeleteAnd that line, "my favorite bridge" made me chuckle. You see, my husband despises bridges ...
:)

Glad to hear you're sticking around. Truthfully, I could care less about DIY stuff & recipes on blogs. I just like reading the "stories" that go with them!
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to get back to your roots!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link! Glad to hear you will stick around.
ReplyDeleteI love the writing and the adventure of finding out what the topic will be next (or music video, or murder mystery, or next trip to CNY).
ReplyDeleteCan I hear more about the stud muffins? Feel free to include those pictures as well.
ReplyDeleteBliss
I would like you in a house. I would like you with a mouse.
ReplyDeletePictures, writing...it's all good. Just fun to be here!

Listen to your mother. That water will most likely be too cold.
